What Do You Want?

Stop what you’re doing and take an inventory of your life.

Are you satisfied with your relationships? How about your finances? Your health? Career? Are you happy with your life in general? I have a question for you:

What Do You Want?

If you’re like most people, you put a great deal of energy into feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with where your life is headed. You may spend a lot of time focused on what you don’t want, rather than what you do want.

Get this, your life is a reflection of what you think about most often. So again, sit down and take inventory of where you are right now. This will give you valuable information about your thought behavior and how it's impacting your life.

I used to put a great deal of energy into thinking about how I didn’t want my life to go. Why did I have to struggle? Why did it seem like bad things would always happen to me? Why was life so difficult? The answer came down to one thing: it was the way I was thinking about what was happening.

“We see the world, not as it is, but as we are──or, as we are conditioned to see it.” - Stephen R. Covey

Little did I know that changing my thoughts about what was happening would ultimately change my life, . For instance, when I didn’t get the job I wanted, instead of falling into victim mode as I often did, I begin to think about the opportunities God was preparing for me instead.

So, I ask you again-

What do you want?

I have been really putting this question to task lately and want to invite you on this journey of manifesting what you want in the New Year by simply changing your thoughts. If we know that our thoughts create our reality, why not speak more positively to ourselves?

Just the other day my daughter called me and asked, what I was doing. At the time, I was researching how to send manuscripts of my books to publishers. I begin to visualize my book being available in bookstores across the country. I allowed myself to escape my limiting beliefs and actually experience the feeling that comes with seeing your book displayed in bookstores.

The next day I received a text message out of the blue from one of my former teachers I had had the pleasure of working with when I was a principal. I hadn’t spoken with her in years so was excited to see her name pop up on my phone.

I was a bit confused when I saw a picture of her daughter, Olivia, also a student of mine during my time as principal, pointing to copies of my book displayed in a bookstore!! My initial thought was that they had placed them there and decided to take a picture and send to me. It took me a moment to realize that the book was actually being sold in the bookstore, and get this, it was displayed on the end cap next to one of my favorite author’s, Brene Brown!! Talk about manifesting!! I am still trying to process this whole experience.

There are several other things I am manifesting that I will share in the coming weeks but wanted to share this experience.

If you’re ready to create the life you desire – begin by doing the following:

Get your journal and get ready to create your best B.U.S. Stories for 2023!!

Before you write anything, take a moment to visualize your ideal relationships, financial situation, career, health, and other areas of your life you wish to manifest. When you have a a clear vision, answer and write a response to the following questions:

1. What Do You Want? (Write down whatever comes to mind when you think about what you want!!)

2. Take a look at what you’ve written above and create affirmations. Speak it into existence by saying: I have, I own, I feel…

3. Act of If…

Live your life as if these things have already happened and watch as new blessings flow into your life!

Remember, the universe is ready to help you create the life you desire- you only need to put in the work and have faith to make your dreams become your reality! Let’s manifest!!
